First team practice of the Copper Country Sled Hockey Team happened at Meadowbrook arena in L'Anse! We had 12 players on the ice! The Marquette Sledcats came en force to share their expertise and sleds with us, for which we are TRULY thankful! The Calumet Collosseum loaned us four sleds, the Dee arena loaned us one sled, and the Finlandia University Men's Hockey team donated 10 helmets. We've gotten multiple community donations of pads and equipment to outfit our players, and the City of Houghton offered to sponsor our ice time! It takes a village, folks! The support we've received to put this team together is truly amazing. THANK YOU everyone!
